I’ve been working and playing with type & image since I could hold my head up and reach the magnetic letterforms. I’m equally at home solving visual problems and designing with pencil, pixel, or on press. For the last several years I’ve been teaching at universities and working as a professional designer of print and digital media. While working in agencies, in-house or as a freelance designer I’ve enjoyed collaborations with a variety of clients in healthcare, printing, manufacturing, higher education, architecture, museums and non-profit organizations. When I’m not working on multidisciplinary commercial projects you can find me doing more and more limited edition letterpress printing and book making in the type shop since the recent addition of two Vandercook proof presses and some very heavy late nineteenth-century bindery equipment. My modest collection of wood/metal type & ornaments is also ever expanding and provides endless typographic experimentation.
